Line Pilot

Job Description:

A Line Pilot is accountable for the safe operation of company aircraft in accordance with company regulations, Federal Aviation Regulations, state regulations, and local regulations. Line Pilots may be assigned as Pilot Flying (PF) or Pilot Monitoring (PM), as well as additional duties as needed.

A successful line pilot:

• 1. Embraces and demonstrates professional behavior consistent with our organizational values and policies;

  2. Communicates effectively with management, crew members, and local authorities regarding flight operations;

  3. Works a rotating schedule of 8 days on - 6 days off.

Duties​:

• 1. Operate an aircraft as pilot in command (PIC), being directly responsible for, and is the final authority as to the operation of that aircraft, including:

     • For flight under IFR or a flight not in the vicinity of an airport, weather reports and forecasts, fuel requirements, alternatives available if the planned flight cannot be completed, and any known traffic delays of which the pilot in command has been advised by ATS;

     • For any flight, runway lengths at airports of intended use, takeoff and landing distance required;

     • Aircraft performance under expected values of airport elevation and runway slope, aircraft gross weight, and wind and temperature;

     • Aircraft pre-flight inspection before each departure;

     • Operating the aircraft in accordance with the FAR, AFM, and Aperture Aviation’s SOPs;

     • Assures Aperture aircraft do not exceed flight limitations as outlined in aircraft AFM, and Aperture Aviation SOP.

  2. Demonstrate excellent CRM in all phases of operation,

  3. Be responsible for the running of all checklists, normal, abnormal and emergency,

  4. Confer with PM regarding traffic, terrain, and airspace separation.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• 1. Holds a valid airplane single engine land commercial pilot certificate;

  2. Holds a valid instrument rating;

  3. Minimum of 500 hours single engine fixed wing flight time;

  4. 120 flight hours within the previous 12 months;

  5. Instrument Proficient;

  6. Ability to work in a crew environment;

  7. Holds a valid first class medical certificate;

  8. Valid F.C.C. Restricted Radiotelephone Operator’s permit;

  9. Valid Passport;

  10. Ability to work weekends and holidays;

  11. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1. CFI;

  2. CFII (highly sought);

  3. 20 hours in a Cessna 206 or 210;

  4. G1000 or G600 experience.
